Alice in Wonderland
I'm a bit late in the game posting about the upcoming Tim Burton Alice In Wonderland movie. But maybe there is someone else out there who hasn't seen this article yet, and will be as excited as I am. The costumes and sets look absolutely breathtaking! And Johnny Depp looks downright scary.
Anne Hathaway as the White Queen
Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter
Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen

Alice is due to be released March 5, 2010 in 3D and 2D.
Don't Let it go Away, This Feeling Has Got to Stay
The last time I saw No Doubt:
Gwen Stefani, October 2002, Chicago IL.
I went to three of Gwen's solo shows, but have really missed No Doubt. This band has had a greater impact on my life than any other band could even come close to. I've met some of my best friends, and my old roommates on No Doubt message boards. Traveled great distances to see them live, and even went to an aftershow party with the ND boys (minus Gwen) back in the day.
I was so excited to finally see them reunited on stage in New York, that I cried. Totally embarrassing, but I couldn't help it! My friend Veronica and I joined the tour club to get presale tickets, so we ended up ultra close in the 7th row! We were so close we could see Gavin and Kingston Rossdale, and later Zuma watching "mom" from the side! I also saw Ken Ehrman, from l.a.m.b their with his family, and of course Curtis, Gwen's long time body guard walking around.
The whole experience was perfect. The only way it could have possibly been any better would be if they had played my favorite song, "Artificial Sweetner". The stage, the video backdrops, the costumes--everything was spectacular.
I first saw No Doubt live when I was 14 or 15 years old! They are definitely one of those bands that only improves with age, so this time around they were absolutely breathtaking. I'm pretty sure the show was sold out.
I snapped a few photos with my ancient Sony digicam. I'm slightly embarrassed by the photo quality, but what can you do. (At least you can see Gwen's costumes, including her gorgeous Ann Demeulemeester boots that I'm very jealous of. ) I'm in desperate need of a new pocket size camera, but wanted to share my photos despite their questionable appearance. I really don't think anything can compare to the photos I took (with my SLR) at the last ND show anyway...

Rain Rain Go Away
This whole "rain every day" in new york thing is getting really old, really fast. We've had two weeks of horrible weather! This summer has been pretty un-summery to begin with. I'm bummed out that we're not enjoying nicer weather, because I really wanted to get back in to shooting some street fashion.
Back in my days as photo assistant at now defunct Page Six Magazine, I also worked as a street style photographer during fashion week, documenting the outfits of attendees. I'm hoping my newly acquired "free time" continues up to this fall's shows, so I can do it once again.
Some of my favorite outtakes from the Fall of 2007 (Spring 2008 fashion week):
We accidentally ran into Agyness outside of Bryant Park, traveling between shows. She was extremely accommodating, and very down to earth when I took her photo and my editor interviewed her. We also had a chance to speak to her adorable mother, and I believe her cousin from the UK, who were attending their first fashion week with Agyness. I regret not taking a photo of her mother, who was beyond sweet.
Carine Roitfeld (in Balenciaga) told us about her days as a muse for YSL. She was also very nice, and very humorous!
Taylor Momsen, of Gossip Girl:
Taylor was very gracious, and very excited to be attending her first fashion week. At 14!!! She and her mother remembered me, and stopped to say hello. I'd spent the previous day on set with the female stars of Gossip Girl, as they were the cover stars of Page Six's inaugural issue. All 3 of the leads were a pleasure to work with, but wise beyond her years Taylor was definitely my favorite.
Simon Doonan:
There are literally no words I can say about this amazing man that haven't already been said. So check out his awesome outfit:

I'm updating my flickr...
I love this shot of my roommate, Mollie. I think she looks like *an angel*.
I'll be adding some new work as the week goes by. It's been too long since I've updated!
My last upload was some fashion photography stuff we did in my SVA class back in March:

My Future Wedding
Dress by Rosa Clara

I love anything vintage inspired. So many of the Rosa Clara dresses remind me of my Grandmother's wedding dress:
I'll definitely be saving these images for "the future".
HELLO
Hope everyone enjoys it!
